DJ Ko*Hayashi met House Music in 1996 when the time he stepped into club and the impression was really strong enough to make him decide to be a DJ soon.
He mixes Hard House, Techno, Trance, Electro with such his musically wide spectrum and imagination. Also with his extraordinary skill of scratching for dance music, uplifting and comical groove to rock the dancefloor, his set always makes crowd enthusiastic enough.
Included the party named “UNKNOWN” which is organized by himself, he plays for over 100 gigs in a year in Fukuoka where he is from and also Tokyo, many more cities in Japan.
He got big support from varied funs in many places and transcended recent chronic dance music scene with his characteristic DJ performance and standing on the position where he is really sure.

1976年日本、福岡生まれ。1996年に踏み入れたクラブで出会ったハウスミュージックに衝撃を受け、DJとしてのキャリアをスタートさせる。
その自由な発想から生まれるハードハウス、テクノ、トランス、エレクトロなども取り入れた幅の広い選曲と、トリッキーなスクラッチでフロアーをアップリフティングでコミカルなKO HAYASHI色に染める。オーガナイズするパーティーを始めとして年間100本を超えるDJをこなし、 慢性化が進む現在のシーンの中においてもジャンルを超えた様々な層からの絶大な支持を集め、常に独自の地位を確立している稀有な存在である。

it's damn freezing in japan.
i safety came back to my hometown, fukuoka today but just stucked at home.
now enjoying my lovely vinyls which hes been left here for over 2years and i've already found some to bring out to hk at this time.
i've mainly played many electronic dance music now but really excited with many more styles of music since i've been collecting for 10years.

and while in this trip, i'll be coming up for a gig at "STEREO SIDE B"

big thanks for dj yusuke watanabe who organized this party.
he hooked me up when i was university student and i played at "STEREO" like everyweek.
that was amazing time for myself and really unforgettable musical moment.

so this time, i have to answer to my master with full of respect.
honestly, can't believe i'm gonna play as a special guest dj?! in my town...
anyway, all djs are die hard music freaks in this town and really good friends of mine.

i'm still messing around my room to check all vinyls.
anyway, gonna simply show them who am i !!!



日本はやっぱりマジで寒い。
今日無事に地元福岡に帰って来たのはいいけど、寒すぎてずっと家に引き蘢ってる。
そして今、2年以上この部屋に残された愛しいレコード達と戯れている所で、もう既にいくつか香港に持って帰るのも見つけた。
今ではelectronic dance musicをかける事が多いんだけど、自分が10年間買い続けて来た様々なスタイルの音楽に改めて興奮してる。

そして今回の滞在の間に1本DJする予定。場所は"STEREO SIDE B"。

今回わざわざパーティーを組んで頂いたdj yusuke watanabe氏に大きな感謝を。
実は彼が昔まだ自分が大学生だった頃に自分に声を掛けてくれて、毎週の様に"STEREO" でDJさせてもらっていた。
あれは今思い返しても本当に素晴らしい時間だったし、忘れることのない貴重な音楽体験だった。

なので今回はそんな彼に対して思いっきりのrespectを込めて応えようと思う。
正直自分が地元でspecial guest djって言うのにはピンと来ないんだけど。
でもとにかくDJ陣はこの街でも間違いのないmusic freak達だし、何と言っても皆大好きな友達ばかり。

今も部屋中のレコードをひっくり返してチェックしてる所。
まーとにかく自分らしい感じでガツーンと！！！

SPACED OUT

unluckily, my gig on last fri was cancelled for private party.
hope to have next one soon.

btw, seems i really have no interest in electro anymore.
many electro sounds very cheesy and i can't feel any dynamism with boring cut up and add some noise.

instead of, this is what i feel "electronic music".
i like cut up, i like noise but just wanna feel live groove.
can you feel the groove can't copy easily?


運悪く先週金曜のDJがプライベートパーティーの為キャンセルに。
次回またすぐ出来るます様に。

ところで、最近の自分は本当にelectroに全く興味がないみたいで。
耳にするelectroという音楽のほとんどがcheesyにしか聴こえないし、ありきたりなcut upやnoiseを聴いても何のダイナミズムも感じられず。

その代わりに僕が思う最近の"electronic music"とはこんな感じ。
cut upもnoiseも好きだけど、大事なのはlive感があってgroovyかどうか。
誰でも安易に真似の出来ないgrooveみたいなのを感じませんか？

didn't have so many gigs last month but this month is gonna be busy.
some gigs are already confirmed and more booking is under progress.

もう既に2月・・・。
先月は実際そんなに毎週の様にはプレイしなかったけど今月は色々忙しくなりそう。
いくつかは先のDJの話も決まってるし、ブッキングの方も色々進行中！
調子良いはずです。

ちなみに金曜日はtsim sha tsuiのaquaで12am-3amでDJの予定。
